ABOUT US

The aim of the conference is to consider the benefits, methodologies, and challenges of working with communities in attempts to revitalize linguistic and cultural heritage. In order to build effective and sustainable "Linguistic and Cultural Heritage Documentation and Revitalization" movements, collaboration with communities is important, however, so far there has been limited accumulation of knowledge and tools. We therefore propose a forum for exchanging our experiences and thoughts about any aspect of working with communities.

Expanding on the success of DLAP-1 and DLAP-2 hosted at The University of Hong Kong in 2016 and 2017, we are happy to announce the 3rd International Conference on Documentary Linguistics – Asian Perspectives, to be held at Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia (RILCA), Mahidol University, Thailand.

DLAP-3 is jointly organized and sponsored by RILCA, Mahidol University and ILCAA, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies."
